Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Swatches and First Impression

2:53 AM

Hello all! So, I was super excited when I saw Gwen Stefani was collaborating with Urban Decay. I can't lie though the Eyeshadow palette wasn't calling my name. Then one magical day on IG I saw a sneak peek of the Blush Palette and was SOLD! I started seeing some swatches and then started to question if I really "needed" it, but now that I have it...YES is the answer! If you are a blush addict stop right now and grab this baby right HERE! Here she is in all her glory.

OK, onto some stats! The Blush Palette retails for $45. It has six pans at .09oz, each, so a total of .54oz of product. For price comparisons a full size Urban Decay blush has .23oz ($26) and a Tarte Blush has .20oz ($28). In my opinion this palette is not only stunning, but a good value!

This palette contains:

Four Blushes:
Cherry - a light pink satin
Easy  - a deep rose with gold shimmer
Angel - a champagne-nude shimmer
Hush - a medium pink with gold shimmer

One Bronzer:
Lo-Fi - a soft bronze matte

One Highlighter:
OC - a soft pink with peach shift

I know these are all over the internet, but I personally love looking at multiple sources for swatches before a purchase. Its hard to get a great shot, so I took pics in as many different light settings I could. So here we go folks!!!

Cherry is probably my least favorite. Nothing is wrong with it, its just personal preference, but a nice satin. Easy is stunning though. It has great pigmentation with beautiful gold shimmer, but no glitter. I'm not about the glitter blush life. Angel for me would be a really nice subtle highlight color even though its a blush. Lo-Fi is a beautiful bronzer shade and on swatch it looks almost matte. Hush again is a very pretty subtle shimmer blush. Now OC it is very very sheer. It is the only shade I had to use MAC Fix+ to get it to build up for a swatch. In any event it would make for a nice different highlight color. You can see in the flash the pink coming through. I think it would make a nice lid color too1

Overall I really love this palette, but I think it is more of a Spring/Summer palette for me. I don't care for glitter and there really is none in this palette just some nice subtle shimmer colors. I would say if you are on the fence go for it! I really grew to love it more the more I got to play with it.

Thanks again for stopping by! What shade is your favorite?? Mine is Easy :)
