Sephora Favorites "Give Me Some Nude Lip" Kit Swatches and Information

3:38 PM

Hello all!! So, I was excited to see Wednesday that there was some new Sephora Favorites sets, but the "Give Me Some Nude Lip" kit was calling my name!! It got here yesterday and I decided to take some pics, do some swatches and get you the information you need in case you were on the fence about buying it. So, here we go folks!

I love the Sephora Favorites Sets & Kits. You get to try a lot of items for a low cost or you might not want to add a lot more full sizes to your growing collection, etc. So, they are perfect! Here she is as beautiful as I hoped for. **My Swatches for the August 2016 Give Me Some Lip Kit can be found HERE on my blog**

I'm not doing a formal review, but I have tried on all the formulas since I got the kit or previously tried some and I really like them all. I will list a little breakdown.
  • NARS went on sheer, so you have to take several passes to build up the opacity.
  • NUDESTIX applies just like a lipstick formula. It isn't drying, no detectable scent, and reaches full opacity very easily. I don't care for them on my cheeks, but that is a personal preference.
  • tarte I have heard many mixed reviews with them not being an actual liquid lipstick, but they are not fully claiming to be. If I went out of my way it will smear and transfer, but if I was just being conscious it wears well and it started breaking down around 5 hours. They have the signature tarte minty smell and they wear very comfortably. They are nice and Im happy to have mine, but I don't feel the need to get more right away.
  • Laura Mercier is very hydrating. It goes on sheer but can easily be built up. At first I thought it was too dark for me, but it really is a beautiful MLBB shade. I would actually consider getting this in the full size. It transfers like a typical lipstick and doesn't have any delectable scent.
  • Marc Jacobs Beauty is a really nice liner. It went on very smooth with no tugging and the color would be flattering for many. I used it as a liner and also to fill in my lips with a touch of gloss and it looked great both ways!
So overall I think this kit a great steal and I highly recommend it to anyone!! I like this a lot more then the previous Give Me Some Lip Kit that was released this summer. This is still in stock at Sephora for $28 and can be found HERE  Thanks so much for stopping by!! Please feel free to email me or comment below! What shade is your favorite in this set?? Mine is Laura Mercier Milky Way it was a pleasant surprise!
