ColourPop Swatches
4:26 PMHello all! So I know ColourPop has been around for over a year, but there are still many people who still haven't tried them yet. I think they are worth a shot especially for the price point ($5 per shadow). You get 1oz of product in their super shock shadows and for me a little goes a long way. I do have several matte shades that can be used as a transitional color, so you can do full looks with these shadows. I now like to buy their more unique shades and pull from a neutral palette of mine (i.e. Kat Von D Shade + Light) for a complete look. They have a texture that can't be described perfectly, but its close to a Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush. I prefer to just use my fingers to apply them (it is also the recommended method from the company), but a synthetic brush does the job as well. You do not want to use a natural brush since it will absorb more product.
Overall, I have to say I really love these shadows, but some of the metallic and ultra-metallic do have some chunk glitter that can have fallout. I always use an eyeshadow base (Urban Decay Potion Primer in Eden) and when I want to color to really pop I use NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk. I find it gives a nice white base for color and helps the shadow adhere better to your eyelid.
So, I swatched a bunch of my collection. I know swatches are a dime a dozen, but I prefer to google a bunch when making a decision. I tried to leave out shades that are not available anymore. So, here we go folks!!
